I love BQ Jean. Is it the cleanest, most perfect cut flower dahlia? NO. But it is a delight to grow and watch bloom. Huge, fun, twisty blooms like nothing else available at the cut flower market- they look windy & wild. It has tall, strong stems. Blooms are surprisingly sturdy to storing and handling despite their appearance. And florists love fun, unique cuts like this. The only downside is that it needs heavy trellis supporting. Our 2026 September Nor’easter here in MA blew our BQ Jean over- pretty fair considering how bad the winds were.
